Josh and Sam met in 10th grade band class. They stayed connected in high school through a shared love of choir and the annual musicals. After college, their friendship strengthened when both joined a local chamber choir; they grew closer over many hours of carpooling to rehearsals. A few years later they realized they had feelings for each other and decided to give dating a shot...2 years later they were married!
They currently split their Sundays between leading worship at the church Sam grew up in and singing at the church Josh’s parents are members of. They hope to start booking gigs in coffee shops soon and are always on the lookout for deals on theater tickets. Regardless of what the future holds, music will always be a part of their lives...they can’t imagine not singing together.
We were contacted by Phil Jackson and Buc Williams from SoundMasters Records and Rissa Productions and were asked if we were interested in singing on a new song they wrote called “I’m You”. When they said it was a pop wedding style love ballad duet, we couldn’t resist. We met at SoundMasters Records in Lockport New York and rehearsed the song. Everything felt right and fell right into place. We came back a week later and recorded the final track. We are thrilled with the way the record turned out and we hope to perform on more songs with them in the future!
Ashlyn and Grace
Ashlyn and Grace are 10 year old identical twins from North Tonawanda, NY. They are both accomplished singers, actresses and dancers and study voice under the tutelage of Miss Kacy Lynn Carbone and are proud members of the Matt’s Music Care Team. They gained attention in the national spotlight as guest performers in Tony Award winner Laura Benanti’s Sunshine Songs Concert Series (July 2020). They are active members of the Academy of Theater Arts performance group where most recently Ashlyn played the role of Elsa and Grace, Olaf in the musical Frozen Jr. (August 2020). They are currently rehearsing for ATA’s spring production of Seussical the Musical where Ashlyn will be performing the role of Gertrude McFuzz, and Grace as Mayzie La Bird. Ashlyn and Grace hold a deep passion for volunteerism and have had the distinct pleasure of singing the National Anthem at the Wings Flights of Hope annual benefit concert and the Basil Kids Helping Kids Fundraiser since 2017.
